Parental addiction, conflicts and marital disruption: perception of adult children of divorced parents

Divorce is a stressful event often combined with spouse conflict which significantly affects the way children experience consequences of family reorganization. Various factors contribute to impact divorce on child development, one most decisive being quality parental relationship prior to, during and after divorce.
 The article addresses main question how spouses’ process intertwined child’s experience. 
 Semi-structured interviews were conducted 20 adult (7 men 13 women) from divorced families. Adults ranged in age 21 42 years old. Five twenty passed their parents’ results show that cases violent relationships or addiction divorce, participants experienced relief when nuclear dissolved; however, between parents persisted torn both parents.
